We recently spent a quick weekend in Nashville and had such a good time. We were only there about 36 hours but we managed to fit in a lot of fun activities (well…mainly just eating at good restaurants and listening to live music). I wanted to share a few of my favorite places just in case you are ever passing through the Music City. We spent most of our time in East Nashville but did venture downtown for a quick walk down Lower Broadway.
To say I was a little obsessed with this place would be an understatement. If you’re in Nashville, you have to go! Make sure to go to the back of the store and try one of their herbal elixirs. We each got an herbal elixir, a kombucha flight, and a tea to go. All were wonderful! I stocked up on tea but thankfully it looks like you can also purchase it through their website. I was coming down with a sore throat that weekend and I drank their tea all day, and call me crazy, but I think it healed my throat and kept a full blown cold at bay.
My next obsession was Pinewood Social. Description from their website: Pinewood is a space that is based on the idea of creating a social gathering place that can accommodate your needs morning, noon and night. Think of us as a comfortable place to work with a cup of coffee in the morning or a casual lunch with a co-worker. Think of us as a place to meet friends for cocktails and dinner. Think of us as a place to play, whether that means bowling or playing bocce ball.
We decided to get lunch there but you can also just go for a coffee and hang out, and I saw multiple people studying or reading. There is also huge bar with an impressive drink list, a seated area for meals, plus a bowling alley! It really does have something for everyone. I also loved the decor and atmosphere. Definitely one of my favorite places that we visited.
We also had dinner at the The Wild Cow which is a cute little vegan restaurant that was close to the place we were staying. I got a massive salad that was pretty good. Right next door was Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream which was too tempting not to go in even though it was pretty chilly out.
On our way out of town we stopped at Barista Parlor for hot drinks. Derek said the coffee was excellent and I had a really nice chai tea latte. Also this place had such a cool atmosphere…kinda like a coffee science lab.
